Kids Alfresco will be a global organization whose mission is to inspire and enable young children to enjoy active lives outdoors. The escalating number of overweight children in this country and throughout the world, constitutes a crisis of planetary proportions. Indoor sedentary trends, inadequate exercise and poor nutrition are the primary culprits and are having a negative effect on our kids' health and quality of life. Kids Alfresco promotes purpose driven activity through simple everyday play as well as planned activities such as hiking, camping and biking to the more structured outdoor experiences incorporating the natural sciences including ecology, astronomy, biology, geology and more. Whether it's exploring the rich wilderness in their own backyards or experiencing the unique flora and fauna of a foreign country, the great outdoors is all around us and our children and the earth will be in a happier and healthier place from the synergies created from Kids Alfresco.
